The 2018 Avondale Qvevri Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre which is a "Rhone" style blend produced in Paarl, South Africa.
They make use of Qvevri vessels which are large earthenware vessels used for the fermentation, storage and ageing of traditional Georgian wine. Resembling large, egg-shaped amphorae without handles, they are buried below ground in the Avondale cellar
